-What She Had Seen- By: Davey Squires

I remember our date to the movies last year,
Afterwards we got coffee with stories to share.
It’s been a month since I’ve last seen you. What did you see? You saw my shirt sleeve and pulled it up in grief.

And what she found there made her shed a tear. What she saw there made her shed a tear.

It’s been a couple of weeks and she said she can’t deal with you. You’re breaking yourself and she said she knew.
The fighting began when all the lying was through.
You never mentioned to me how much I loved you.

And what she found there made her shed a tear. What she saw there made her shed a tear.
And what she found there made her shed a tear. What I saw there, man I never wanted to go there.

The road not taken, the road forsaken. She said that she knew.
The road not taken, the road forsaken. She said that she knew.

Later that week she broke up with me and I never saw her again. One of my friends had to tell me that my heart will mend. Whether I believed in what I had seen, it was too much to tend. Oh, but that was never truly the end.

And what she found there made her shed a tear. What she saw there made her shed a tear.
And what she found there made her shed a tear. What I saw there, man I never wanted to go there
