The iron gated bridge was let down and everybody flocked into town. The bridge was rusted and loose-jointed,
But the new mayor was just appointed.

I am walking over the iron bridge

Those crows, they sing a note
And the trains are billowing their smoke. The cold air, it came in like a storm.
We all stayed in, tried to keep warm.

In Uniontown, the quarries sink away.
