-Sky Meets Sea- By: Davey Squires
I can see you in my rear view mirror as I pull into your driveway.
Oh god, am I so nervous for our very first date.
I’ve been waiting for this day to arrive and now you’re walking outside. Let’s hit up the cafè down the street and take on the night.
Butterflies seem to be taking over me. Wishing those butterflies could be free. Time and time again you’re all I see When the sky meets the sea.
Stranger passing stranger on our way downtown, Hang at the bar just passed the neon lounge.
Sit and talk about our dull lives.
Though dull these are still good times.
Upon my rum and coke I take a sip, Split the cab and leave a tip.
Stranger passing stranger on our date, Before we know it, the clock is late.
Butterflies seem to be taking over me. Wishing those butterflies could be free. Time and time again you’re all I see When the sky meets the sea.
Butterflies seem to be taking over me. Wishing those butterflies could be free. Time and time again you’re all I see When the sky meets the sea.
Just take the rhythm through the city until the moon is bright. Just outside of your apartment I’ll kiss you goodnight.
